Agency Documentation Fee Exports

This service covers the creation and processing of documents necessary at Origin to complete a shipment i.e. Bill of Lading (B/L), Delivery Order.

This service covers the creation and processing of documents necessary at Destination to complete a shipment i.e. Bill of Lading (B/L), Delivery Order.
Agency Logistic fee Import

Carrier Provided Packaging

The service of preparing the containers for the carriage of cargo like for e.g. hides and skins.Services are performed at a container yard (CY) and include manual lining of the container with plastic or moisture absorbent material, or insulation, and/or the installation of liner bags, as well as removal of the packing´.
Change of Destination Service

This is a service provided by carrier upon the customer’s request to amend the destination/delivery after a container is gated in at the port of origin, but prior to the arrival at the port of discharge.This service will not apply in the following scenarios:- Return shipment- Re-export- Inland change request- Extending inland haulage (Imports process)Cosco may refuse this service if it is not operationally possible, or if any regulatory limitations exist.

Cold Treatment Service

This is applicable upon the customer’s request subject to the carrier’s acceptance. *Mandatory to some locations and commodities.
Congestion Fee Origin

This is a fee applicable when the carrier continues to offer services to a congested port, despite operational difficulties at Origin.The fee covers the additional vessel costs associated with delayed berthing windows.The fee will be applied to cargo that is booked to a congested port.

The charge is a value added service provided on request from the customer to “clean” the empty container before pick up. It does not cover provision of Containers with specific quality, for example: Food Grade Containers.

The charge covers cleaning of a container after empty gate in based on need (penalty) and removal of special equipment within the cntr provided by Cosco (i.e liner bags, reefer bags, hangers etc). It does not cover “repairs and maintenance of container”.
Container Nomination Service
CNS
The Value added Service Covers pre-assignment of Container Numbers to Bookings. It does not cover assigning a contianer of a specific qualityEx: Food Grade
Container Shifting Destination

The service of moving a container to a weigh station to establish the weight of the container upon the customer’s request at Import .This service is only applied in case of carrier haulage and as per the request of the customer.

Cooling Service – Destination
DGS
Cooling service provided at Destination by the carrier to supply a generator (or any other cooling service) set to power reefer containers during inland moves for carrier haulage.
The genset (and any other cooling service) provides a constant power supply to regulate the temperature of the reefer container.
The carrier may refuse to provide this service if the carrier is unable to meet the requirements, or if the correct equipment is not available or if it is not operationally feasible.
This service is applied based upon the customer’s request.
The charge name and description will be changing from “Genset Service – Destination” to “Cooling service – Destination” effective from 01st May 2017.
Cooling service – Origin
OGS
Cooling service provided at Origin by the carrier to supply a generator (or any other cooling service) set to power reefer containers during inland moves for carrier haulage.

A service offered by the carrier to prepare customs clearance documents and handle formalities on behalf of the customer. Damage Waiver Limitation

This value added service, customer can choose to pay a certain amount upfront to be covered for damages to the container up to a certain level defined by the cluster. Dangerous Cargo Service
IMO
The services a carrier needs to perform to ensure the proper transportation of dangerous cargo (as classified by the International Maritime Organization – IMO) such as arranging for the appropriate vessel stowage, permissions from authorities, and compliance to country restrictions. This is applicable for all shipments where the cargo is declared as “Dangerous Cargo” as defined by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The amount will vary depending on the type of Dangerous Cargo.
Data Download request
DLR
Charge associated in providing “download of Reefer data logs” either at Origin or Destination on request by the customer.
The request from the customer must be sent prior the containers are loaded on the first vessel, any request received after the containers being loaded should be rejected.
DLR will get decommission effective 1st October 2017.
De-coupling Export
EDC
The charge is applied when customers request to leave the container & chassis at the loading place (“drop”) and inform the trucker later for collecting the stuffed container (“pick”), in order to ensure enough time for loading (e.g. over weekend) and avoid extra costs for waiting time.
This service comes with a cost of second trucking and subject to a chassis rental fee.

Import: Demurrage days are counted from container discharge to gate-out (full) minus free days. Applicable to all containers that remain at a terminal location longer than agreed free time. *Applicable calculation methods may vary by country. Destination Certificate Charge
DCG
This service covers Certificates issued regarding vessel age, vessel conditions etc – in-house ML certificates at Destination.It does not cover certificates issued as part of an inspection (for example veterinary certificate). This is instead charged by the INI charge.
Destination Dangerous Cargo Service Inland Haulage

This fee covers the additional costs incurred by the carrier in the movement of Dangerous Cargo from or to an inland location.Additional costs consist of licenses, permits and the carrier has to use specialized vendors with certifications that cost more.This fee will be applicable to dangerous bookings where carrier inland haulage has been requested by the customer at Destination

Destination Specialised Chassis

The carrier can arrange to provide all kinds of special chassis, except for tri-axle, for the customer to use. These chassis allow more cargo to be loaded into the container than would otherwise be legally possible at Destination.
Customers can request for the different kinds of special chassis, in which the carrier will manually add the charge to the shipment.
Special chassis includes but not limited to:4 point lock fixed trailer; Sliding bogie trailer; Multi-function trailer; Slope frame ISO tank; Tipping trailer; Side loading trailer; low-bed-chassis.
Detention Fee Export

This fee is applicable when the customer holds carrier equipment longer than the agreed amount of free time. Export: Detention days are counted from pick-up empty to gate-in full minus free days. This fee is applicable to all containers that remain in the customer’s possession longer than the agreed free time. Not applicable for shipper owned containers. *Applicable calculation methods may vary by country. Please refer to our ‘local country website’ for more information.

Detention in Transit Service
DIT
The carrier has the ability to hold shipments at transhipment ports until further instructions are received from the customer. This gives the customers the flexibility to delay the cargo arrival, when it assists them in their business. Note: the carrier is unable to hold containers longer than 14 days unless the customer submits a written letter of indemnity to the carrier which states that the carrier will not be liable for any cargo damage not covered by Insurance during the extra detention period. The DIT charge is applicable based on the request by the customer and subject to the carrier’s acceptance.

This service is also known as a ‘Telex’ or ‘Express’ release and allows the cargo to be released at destination upon proof of identity of the receiver as consignee, provided all 3 original B/L’s have been surrendered by the consignee, or an authorized agent of the consignee, at another carrier’s office location.
In order to allow this all 3 original B/L’s must be surrendered at another carrier’s office location (not the discharge port).The carrier will add this service to the shipment, once the B/L’s have been surrendered.
This service (TLE) is applied upon the customer’s request.
Electronic Cargo Release Service – Import
TLI

Emergency Risk Surcharge
ERS
This fee covers additional costs faced by the carrier when moving cargo in dangerous regions including those that are threatened by hazards, violence or piracy. The charge covers extra bunker cost (due to longer routing and/or faster sailing), insurance coverage, and additional security measures. The fee will be applied to bookings that are from, to or transited through the affected areas.
Equipment Management Exports

This service covers extra services provided by the carrier relating to equipment at Origin.
These extra services can cover, but are not limited to delivery of high-security container seals, provision of Equipment Interchange Receipts (EIR) to truckers, and / or other local services and expenses.

Cost associated in providing platform to stuff fish into reefer containers via conveyor belt while maintaining low temperature. This is to essentially enable loading from breakbulk to container.
Forwarder Commission Origin

Payment by the carrier to the export freight forwarder and/or the custom’s house broker for doing business with the carrier. Applicable where outward forwarder compensation is market practice and when a freight forwarder has been used for a shipment to perform forwarding services on behalf of the customer.
Free In Service

This service covers the cost of the handling of a container at the origin ports or terminals. This service is applicable to shipments originating from Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia.
Free Out Service

This service covers the cost of the handling of a container at the destination ports or terminals. This service is applicable to shipments destined to Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia.
